Allyson's First Trip To Disneyland....

A friend of ours works for Disneyland!! Yeah!! He was able to help get us in at a very good price... FREE!!! So we of course we went! Everyone got real excited and we even Allyson was counting sleeps. One Morning she got up and said "Time to Disneyland" and I had to tell her that she had to sleep two more times and she proceeded to tell me that she already did that and that it was time to go!!
The day finally arrived and we all got up earlier than mommy and daddy wanted to but all the same we got up and made lunches and took off. We parked the car, went down to the tram and climbed on..... as the the tram took off my youngest daughter promptly raised her hands and shouted "Whuhu!!" We all laughed....... had lots of fun and here are a few pictures of our day...

Having A Little Fun

Every Friday we try to take time as a family so a couple of weeks ago we took the kids to the park and had a nice time. So here is a picture of the most awesome kids in the world!!

This last Friday was our Harvest Carnival and we had a wonderful time. I dressed up as Raggedy Ann.

I was able to rent a jumper from a friend of a friend it was a complete success. Ethan, my 3rd, had so much fun I couldn't keep him out of it. Everyone got dressed up and had a good time.

This last week had had a wonderful blessing.....I have been working on getting things put together for our first ladies meeting of the year. I know your thinking its a bit late. Me too so I am trying to make up for by having a really good one!! SO I have been shopping around for the things I need. I figured that it would be cheaper if I could find some of the things at the thrift store... to make a long short I went to a couple. The second is where the blessing happened. We ran across someone who worked there that came to our church and I was able to purchase all the things I needed for just a couple of dollars literally. As I was on my way I saw this older Nativity set that I had drooled over at costco for 4 years and I was able to get that for almost nothing ... needless to say I was very excited!!

Life Just Rushes by....

I went to do some work on my laptop and went to my blog and realized that I had not touched it since June. It is now October. I have to admit I don't always know what people will find interesting to read.
Our Summer flew by, we eventually moved and we have been in this house for about 2 months and I am still not totally unpacked. I don't know what to do with some of the stuff. I keep thinking it should go to Salvation Army -- but what if I need it!! I just don't want to go through it all-- is more like it. Though the house is put together enough. We planted rose bushes by the front of the house and we are trying to grow grass on the front area. Right now it just looks terrible.

I also went on a trip to Idaho. I went for the sole purpose to steal ideas-- not really but I will use some of it. My mom came to the states early and we went up there for a Ladies Retreat. It was a wonderful time. We stayed for 10 days and relaxed as much as possible when not playing!! We went and visited an old mining town from the turn of the century. It was really interesting some of the doors still had bullet holes in them!!

Though we did have our first company about a week ago.

As everyone know we have an adopted daughter (not legally) and it was her 22nd birthday. SO WE decided to have a small party!! We ended up having over 40 or more people wondering around the house. I think everyone had a good time. And of course it would not have been a good party if my crown molding in the living room was not put up before all these people arrived. So the night before my husband very lovingly put it up for me. I'm not sure how many time he told me I owed him for this but I'm pretty sure that it's a debt that will take me a while to pay off!! It is now up and it looks good!! SO I love him dearly... I had to go out and buy him Cold Stone at the very least.

Ally, my youngest, was able to go spend a couple days with her great- grandmother. While we were trying to get completely moved in.

Made it home...

Well I have been home for about 12 days now... I'm finally starting to feel normal. Jetlag is a royal pain specially when you are sharing it with a 22 month old. I am glad to be back home in my own bed. There was a welcome banner waiting for me and a very clean house. I told my husband that I could tell that Melanie and Ethan missed me because they talked to me nonstop and wanted to be beside me a lot. My oldest on the other hand I was not sure how he felt...then the following Monday he brought me breakfast in bed. I was glad to know that even though he is too cool that he still missed me!!

The countdown is coming for my ladies retreat and I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I hope that everyone has a good time and come home made some decisions for the Lord. I am a little nervous and hope that God will bless in spite of me.

Hello all from the land of Belgium,
Allyson and I made it here on Thursday morning and we have been busy ever since. Ally is a wonderful traveler. She thinks that coloring books and crayons are cool. She is having a little tough time with jet lag but she is adapting ok. She loves grana's house and loves all the neat toys that are here.
I was very excited that I was able to surprise my sister so well. She did not know we were coming at all. My parents already had to go to the airport to drop off some people so we tried to come in at the same time but we were an hour and a half late. My parents then had to stall. Becky just could not understand why there were waiting around. We finally made it and surprised her good!! She even cried that was great.

This last Saturday was great fun!! I was the daughter for a Mother/daughter luncheon to which my mom was the speaker!! Of course, she did a wonderful job.

Sunday was of course Mother's Day. My husband and kids called me to wish me a Happy Day! They even sent me a cute e-card. It was really adorable.
I miss them all. Even though I am having a really good time.
Today I have decided that I'm being mistreated.... They have had me doing manual labor!!!! We built a log cabin wood storage unit. My sister and her husband are waiting for some of their things from a crate that they shipped over . They will put alot o f theif things in this little storage house.

This is a picture of Allyson and her new cousin of 14 days. His name is Andrew Scott Taylor.

Auntie Sarah is loving on her new nephew!!

Little updates.

It's been a couple of weeks since my last blog. . . Life sometimes gets so busy that catching ones breath barely happens. This last week was really a good week for me personally and for the church.
This last Thursday I talked my husband into taking the day with me- had to do a bit of convincing too!! Anyways, he took me to the beach and parked the truck about a mile and a half from the the restaurant. That gave us an
opportunity to walk on the beach and for me to try not to get thrown into the ocean...I didn't by the way. We held hands and it was just plain romantic.
This Sunday we had dinner on the grounds to celebrate my husband's anniversary as pastor. He talked about where the church was when he became pastor and where it was now and where we were going. We had some visitors and all in all it was a long wonderful day.
We also had some special singers that night for services. They were great and it was nice to see and old friend. I wish I had pictures of the days but I will try to do that next time.....
Two weeks ago some of the ladies in our church were in a horse riding competition of some sort and Allyson got to sit on a horse for the first time I'm not sure she was all that excited about it . Though she does love their pictures and points them out every time we see one.
